Ei 12AX7 Elite NOS

Ei 12AX7 Elite is a non-gold pin version of Ei's high end 12AX7Elite-Gold tubes. 12AX7E is a great value if you don't want to pay for the extra for gold pin. Ei built their 12AX7 tubes using Telefunken tooling, so it has the same smooth plate design as Telefunken 12AX7.

In audio amps, Ei 12AX7 tubes provide great clarity on mid and top ranges with tight bass. Ei 12AX7 also sounds great in guitar amps in lower gain positions. They really excel in tweed amps coupled with single coil pickups.

Due to its construction, Ei 12AX7 can be a bit microphonic, so we do not recommend them for phono stage or in high gain guitar amps.

Ei stopped producing tubes a while back, so they are gone when they are gone!
